Below are the technology and video game courses we offer. Cartoons, Computers and Comic-Books is a new course starting January 2008.
Students can start any time. Because students have busy schedules, different learning speeds, and different levels of experience, we make our courses accomodate each student's pace. After you have a handle on the basics, you will work on your own projects within a theme. We have found this format is more engaging and fun.
Robotics —
Learn to build and program robot. Make them strong and smart,
battle other robots. Uses the new Lego Minstorms NXT robotics kits.
Ages 10 and up.
Time: Fridays 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Cost: $75/session or $250/month
Cartoons, Computers and Comic Books —
Write comics with you as the hero. Comics are a great way to write
short stories and work on plots. Ages 9 and up.
Time: Saturdays 10:00 am - 12:00 noon.
Cost: $75/session or $250/month
Lunar Repair Yard —
Learn computer programming and game design. Make your own video
games and play them with friends. Program the controls and
movement, power-ups enemies and bosses. Design your levels and
characters, then play! Ages 10 and up.
Time: Tuesdays 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Cost: $75/session or $250/month
Week long workshop on video game programming and robotics. Our two favorite subjects are combined into one week of intesive fun. Ages 10 and up.
Spring Workshop
Date and Time: Monday-Friday, April 21-25, 2008, 9:00am - 4:00 pm
Cost: $750. Registration deadline is Friday April 11.
Summer Workshops
Cost: $750/week. $50 discount for registering before April 30.
